How to Become a UI/UX Designer in Bangladesh
By Sazzad Hossain · Updated
Short answer: Learn design fundamentals and Figma, build 3 strong case studies around real problems, publish them on Behance or a personal site, get a uiux.bd profile, and apply to junior roles and freelance projects while getting regular critique.
1. Learn the fundamentals
Typography, layout, colour, hierarchy and accessibility come first. Then UX basics: user research, user flows, wireframing and usability testing.
2. Learn the tools
Figma is the standard. Add Framer or Webflow if you want to build websites, and learn to use AI tools in your workflow — employers increasingly expect it.
3. Build three real case studies
Pick real problems — a local service, a public app you would improve, a nonprofit. Show the problem, research, options, decisions and the final design. Three deep case studies beat twenty pretty shots.
4. Publish and get found
Put your work on Behance, Dribbble or your own site, and create a free uiux.bd profile so recruiters and clients searching for Bangladeshi designers can find you.
5. Get your first work
Apply to junior roles and internships on the uiux.bd job board, take small freelance projects, and ask for feedback from senior designers.
6. Know your worth
Check the UI/UX salary data for Bangladesh before you negotiate.
