How to Hire a UI/UX Designer in Bangladesh (2026 Guide)
By Sazzad Hossain · Updated
Short answer: Decide the role (UI/UX, product or mobile), write a one-page brief, shortlist from portfolios with real case studies, run a short paid task or portfolio walkthrough, and agree scope and payment in writing.
1. Decide what kind of designer you need
- UI/UX designer — screens, flows and usability for an app or website.
- Product designer — owns research, flows, UI and iteration with your product team.
- Mobile app designer — iOS/Android patterns, prototypes and handoff.
- Web designer — marketing sites, often built in Webflow or Framer.
- Agency — when you need research, design and development as one team.
2. Write a one-page brief
Include what you are building, who it is for, what exists today, your deadline, budget range and how you want to work (project, monthly contract or full-time). A clear brief gets better matches and more accurate quotes.
3. Shortlist from portfolios, not titles
Look for case studies that explain the problem, the process and the result. Strong signals: shipped products, before/after metrics, research artefacts and clean Figma files. Be careful with portfolios that only show polished mockups.
4. Interview with a walkthrough
Ask the designer to walk you through one project for 20 minutes. Good questions: What did you decide, and why? What would you change now? How did you work with developers?
5. Use a small paid task for big hires
For full-time or large projects, a short paid task (2–4 hours) shows how someone thinks. Never ask for unpaid spec work.
6. Agree scope and payment in writing
List deliverables, revision rounds, timeline, file ownership and payment milestones. For local payments bKash, Nagad and bank transfer are common; for international clients, Payoneer, Wise or direct bank transfer.
